Shiseido - Dual Balancing Foundation Review

I thought I would start my first review on one of my favourite foundations. Unfortunately, Shiseido is no longer producing this particular foundation, as they have released two "new and improved" versions.

This foundation has been my go to foundation for many years and it is sad to see it come off our shelves!

It offers a medium coverage and blends naturally into the skin. However, it is important to note that this particular foundation will sit nicely for a little over 6+ hours before showing signs of build up around the nose and eye area. Though I have tried a few different primers, they have not helped to prolong the wear of this foundation.

As for the colour, the range suited my skin and lighter skin tones beautifully. I use a O40 which suited me both in the winter and summer seasons. Shiseido have created a beautiful range to suit both pink and yellow undertone skin colours. My friend found this helpful, as she was often finding it hard to find a really light pink undertone foundation. I believe she was using the I20 in this particular foundation.

The Dual Balancing Foundation is a great foundation for daily use. However, if you were needing to do flash photography, then this foundation would not be recommended. The SPF 15+ is great for protecting your skin under the sun, but also helped to provide a white reflection to photos.

Overall I loved using this lightweight foundation that looked natural for an everyday look. It is sad to see them go, but hopefully I will find a new foundation soon!

Until next time,
